Ramadan Mubarak to the DU community! Insha’Allah, Ramadan will begin on Tuesday (April 13th). Please continue to follow Islamic Center of Peoria website for the official announcement. During the blessed month of Ramadan, our school schedule will remain the same for both in-person learning and e-learning. As we enter this holy month, please remember the words of our beloved Prophet (Allah’s Praise and Mercy be upon him):
Daarul Uloom enrollment for the 2021-22 school year began TUESDAY, March 16. Similar to previous school year, the enrollment process will be done Online.
The first enrollment window is for our current students and their siblings (March 16 to April 4) and the application processing will be ONLINE ONLY through DU School Website. Applications will be processed on first-come, first-served basis.
First, I would like to praise and thank Allah (The Exalted) for keeping us safe. Next, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our wonderful staff for an incredible team effort as we launched eLearning and limited in-Person learning programs this academic year. This ongoing collaboration has provided us with a quality opportunity to ensure instructional effectiveness, fine tune our responsive services, and achieve overall academic success for our students.
The Whirlwind, the Daarul Uloom newspaper helmed by students of DUHS, is being published digitally this year! In this era of COVID-19, while we can't be together in person, the Whirlwind staff has worked hard behind the scenes to bring you something that reflects the diverse interests and talents of our school. This edition of the Whirlwind was written over the course of the first semester. We hope to bring you two more editions before the end of the 2020-2021 school year!
