In the spirit of friendly competition and cooperation, Daarul Uloom will hold its annual English Spelling Bee Competition on December 9 (written test), December 10 (oral test), and December 13 (final competition for 4th-8th grade). To build excitement for this event, Monday, December 9 will be a Black and Yellow colored clothing day. Competition and the chance to earn recognition and awards is a great motivator for children!

This year Scripps came out with a new format for the spelling lists.  Students in first through second grade will study from Difficulty Level: One, third through fifth will study Difficulty Level: Two, and sixth through eighth will study Difficulty Level: Three.
