Setting up a Successful eLearning Environment
Fri, Nov 13, 2020
As-salaam alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Dear Parents,
I ask Allah (The Exalted) to continue to keep all of us safe and secure. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Allah’s Praise and Mercy be upon him) said: “Whoever among you wakes up physically healthy, feeling safe, and secure within himself, with food for the day, it is as if he acquired the whole world.” [Sunan Ibn Majah; Book of Zuhd (37) Hadith 42; English reference: Vol. 5, Book 37, Hadith 4141; Arabic reference: Book 37, Hadith 4280]. With a little over a month left in the second quarter, one thing remains true. We, as teachers and parents, may be mentally drained from balancing our work, household, and E-learning obligations, but our students and/or children are looking to us for guidance. It is essential that, as teachers and/or parents, we instill the importance of education and an appetite for expanding our knowledge. Following are some tips to help all of us and over the next few weeks, I will share more details on each tip.
1. Set up a daily routine/schedule and stick to it. Include your child(ren) in making this decision. |
2. Taking multiple mental/snack breaks. |
3. Dedicate a space in your house to learning. |
4. Plan activities for siblings that are not of school age and incorporate them in sibling’s learning when you can.
